Darrell O. Burson

Darrell O. Burson, 94, formerly of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He was born July 12, 1923 in Shade, Ohio to the late Harry and the late Ethel (nee Flanders) Burson. He was a retired construction superintendent and a member of the Lions Club and Vandalia Baptist Church. He coached little league baseball in New Carlisle and was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox. Music was a passion of his as well as riding horses, cowboy books and movies. He was survived by two sons, Rudy (Joan) Burson, Brian (Heather) Burson; his daughter, Cheryl (Hank) Ingle; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; his three nieces and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Marion Guess and Phyllis Amos, and his wife, Alice "Jean" Burson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of his service at 12:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio.
