Darrell "Mike" Albaugh

Darrell "Mike" Albaugh, 73, of New Carlisle, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, OH. He was born June 18, 1946, in Sidney, OH, the son of the late Darrell and Jeanne Albaugh. Mike enjoyed spending his summers at Indian Lake on his pontoon boat. He graduated from Tecumseh High School, Class of 1964 and attended New Mexico State University before enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mike retired from Reynolds and Reynolds in Kettering. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Larry F. Blumenstein. Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years Barbara; sons Michael Albaugh and Patrick (Dana) Albaugh; sister Bonnie (Rich) Hardacre; brothers-in-law David (Debbie) Blumenstein and Mike (Diane) Blumenstein; grandchildren Myka Jarrells, Trinity Albaugh, Ashley (Reinaldo) Valdez, Seth Foxworth and Josh Foxworth; great-grandchildren Camden, Ashley, Christian, Julianna and Presley; great-great grandson Mateo; nieces Jennifer Hardacre and Vanessa (Kenny) Saldana; and nephews Andrew (Dana) Hardacre, Jason (Andrea) Blumenstein and Brock Blumenstein. Visitation will be Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 5-8 PM with Masonic Services at 7:00 PM at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor Mike will be Friday, August 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with burial following in Myers Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight.
