Danielle Nicole Burkhead

A beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, cousin, and best friend. Danielle Nicole Burkhead passed unexpectedly at 37 years old at Kettering Medical Center on September 18, 2021. Born and raised in New Carlisle, Ohio on January 27th, 1984 to Rebecca Burkhead-Smith and Gary Burkhead. She attended Tecumseh High School, Class of 2002 and is remembered for her fierce love of all things sports, especially soccer.

Danielle treasured her children and was proud to be Aunt Da to her nieces. She was fun-loving, compassionate, and fiercely loyal to her friends and family, BUT also had a competitive side when cheering on her Cleveland Browns or Ohio State Buckeyes....O - H -!! She loved music and could always make you laugh and smile even when you didn’t think you could. Her passing has left a hole in the hearts of many and all those who loved her dearly. We will NEVER be able to forget her wit, charm, vivacious personality, and her selflessness for the ones she loved and cared about most.

Danielle is survived by her 4 beautiful children, Mark (16), Aubrey (10), Cobain (3), and Grayson (2). Both her parents Rebecca Burkhead-Smith and Gary Burkhead, along with Stepfather, Brian Smith. Her oldest sister, Angela & Jameson Silman w/daughter Savannah (4), and her twin sister Amy Burkhead w/daughter Kaetlynn (16). Her grandparents Bob and Sherry Smith and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, James and Irene Denny, & William (Steve) & Barbara Burkhead.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else can ever fill. Many of us are blessed to have gained a guardian angel like you.

Visitation will be held at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5-7 PM.
