DANIEL J. SMITH

78, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016. He was born January 13, 1938 in Athens, Ohio the son of the late George & Dorothy (Walker) Smith. He was a U.S. Army reservist veteran and retired from the Booster Newspaper. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Smith; children, Kate (Wade) Henderson, Michael (Gale) Smith, Michael (Shawona) Stimpfl, Diana (David) Tenney, Mary (Ken) Chaffman, Matthew (Kathy) Smith; Mandy (Phillip) Craig; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, David (Cindy) Smith; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Smith and a sister, Cathy Groceman. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Medway Christian Church, 4045 Cloverdale Rd., Medway, Ohio 45341.
