Daniel L. Mccarty

Daniel L. McCarty, 65, of New Carlisle, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021. He was born December 12, 1955, in Urbana, the son of Richard McCarty and Catherine Harvey. Dan was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Murlin Heights, was very active in Prison and Street Ministries. He loved fishing and photography and worked at Harvey Photography in New Carlisle until the business closed. Dan is preceded in death by his father and step-mother Richard and Mary McCarty; step-father Charles Harvey. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Linda Sue McCarty; mother Catherine Harvey; daughters Stephanie (Jonathan) Rose, Amanda (Joshua) Ritchie and Danielle (R.C.) Betz; brother Tom (Lynne) McCarty; grandchildren Chasidy, Mason and Joel Rose, and Josiah, Anna Hope and Avonlea Ritchie, and Blake, Brooklynn and Benjamin Betz; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 5-8 pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor Dan will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery.
