Constance J. Chaffin

Chaffin, Constance "Connie" J., 94 of Springfield passed away July 18, 2019 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 7, 1925, the daughter of Walter and Dorothy Ricketts. She was a 1943 graduate of Springfield High School. Connie was a lifelong Methodist most recently attending Bowlesville UMC. She retired as a head cook with Springfield School District. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, traveling and making her famous peanut butter fudge. Connie was also a member of the United Senior Services. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert D. Chaffin, Sr.; sister Susie Reames; son-in-law Rick Ohns; and daughter-in-law Sandy Chaffin. Survivors include her seven children Robert D. Chaffin, Jr., Sharon Ohns, Carol Smith, Cindy (KC) Cummins, Steven E. (Cathy) Chaffin, Joseph (Andrea) Chaffin, John (Rebekah) Chaffin; brother Jack Ricketts; sister Barbara DeWell; Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all called her "Grandma Honey". Services to honor Connie will be Tuesday at 1:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor David Hill officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM in the Memorial Home.
