Cheryl Lynn Spicer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl Lynn (Phillips) Spicer, who gently departed this world on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the age of 68. Cheryl was born on a sunny Monday, July 28, 1958, in the vibrant city of Dayton, Ohio. She later made her home in Springfield, Ohio, where she became a beloved member of the community.

Cheryl was the cherished daughter of the late Fowler and Grace Phillips. With a spirit as vibrant as the horses she so dearly loved, Cheryl's passions included classic movies, country music and spending joyous times with her friends and family. Her unwavering Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she delighted in walking closely with the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Spicer, and has now joined him in eternal rest. Cheryl's memory will continue to be cherished by her surviving family: her son, Philip Amos, granddaughter Peyton, niece Alana Miller, great niece's Alexis Valerio and Ireland, nephew James, her dear friends, Dyna and Dave Wilson, and her beloved dog Hannah. The bond she shared with her sister, Rhonda Phillips, who preceded her in passing, remains unbroken.

To honor and celebrate Cheryl's remarkable life, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Dayton National Cemetery.
