CHARLIE DIAMOND, SR.

84, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020. He was born February 19, 1936 in Lawrence County, Kentucky the son of the late Dewey & Iona (Spillman) Diamond. He retired from General Motors and was a member of the New Carlisle Blue Lodge 100. Charlie loved the LORD and attended the Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Diamond; children, Carol (Scott) Strayer, Charlene Diamond Ward, Charlie Jr. (Betty) Diamond; Debbie Sowder, Sandy (Chuck) Levitre, Brenda Thompson, Kathy Van Valen: grandchildren, James Strayer, Rebecca (Joseph) McKenzie, Katherine (Christopher) Beach, Jennifer (Brett) Wiscons, Mark Yeary, Crystal Yeary, Chelsea (John) Teat, Tyler Diamond, John (Julie ) LaPois, Jennifer Williams, Anthony Sowder, Barbara Sowder, Brian Sweeney, Timothy Sweeney, Adam ( Joannis) Levi,Aaron Van Valen, Aubrey Van Valen (Jacob) Perez ,Alex Van Valen, Christopher Burnett, Stacy ( Kevin )Harrison; numerous great grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Diamond; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, 11 brothers, and one sister, he is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Diamond; a daughter, Shirley Riley; and grandson, James Frederick Riley. Visitation will be 12-1 PM Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 1 PM in the funeral home.
