Charles D. “Bud” Leath IV, 81, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born the son of Charles and Dorothy (Glenn) Leath III on August 7, 1944, in Springfield, Ohio. Bud attended local schools and earned his certification as a welder in Youngstown, OH. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, jazz music and classic cars. Bud’s love of music led him to produce live performances in the Midwest and manage local bands. He learned reflexology from his grandfather, later earning his certification and practicing all over the United States for many years. Along with his wife Missy, they traveled throughout the country speaking on Holistic Health Care. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Beaunet Leath; sister Thea Leath; and brother Steven Leath. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Melissa “Missy” (Ingling) Leath; daughter Maria Jackson; brother Anthony Leath; and sister Dominique Bailey. Memorial contributions have been requested to the National Kidney Foundation. Per Bud’s request no formal services will be held.
