CHARLES O STAFFORD (CHUCK)
He was born 10/18/1923 in Surgoinsville, TN and passed away on 6/25/2021 in London, Ohio. He is proceeded in death by his Mother Leila Stafford and Father Alva Stafford and four bothers and four sisters and his loving wife, Reva Stafford. He is survived by his sister Reva Gamble, sons Michael Stafford (Shonda), Stephen Stafford (Denise), and beloved daughter in law, Donna Stafford. Chuck had five Grandchildren, Shawn Stafford (Sabrina), Jon Stafford (Michelle), Amy Tiefenthaler (Mike), Patrick Stafford, Casey Stafford (Brooke) and nine Great Grandchildren.
He was a World War II Veteran who served four years aboard the USS Harris as a First-Class Petty Officer. He received 9 Battle Stars.
He married Reva Jean Baker in 1948 and was married to her for 71 years. He graduated from the university of Tennessee in 1950 as a Civil Engineer. Most of his career he was involved in the construction Industry. He founded Staffco Construction, Inc. in 1972. The company has been successfully involved principally in public construction projects including numerous projects at WPAFB, construction of 25 new schools in Ohio, 6 new libraries in Montgomery County and two assisted living facilities.
After retiring they moved to Sarasota, FL and were members of the Heritage Oaks Country Club. He loved sports, particularly his Cincinnati Reds. Not having the opportunity to compete as a kid he encouraged both of his son's involvement in sports, and never missed any of their games.
He was a humble man, soft spoken and loved to tell stories. He was a good and decent man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. The world could use more "Chuck" Staffords.

Visitation will be from 11-12noon Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle. Funeral service will follow at Noon.
