Carolyn May Rader

Carolyn May Rader, 89, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born September 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Teddy and Jesse May McHenry. Carolyn, with her husband Lamar, owned and operated R. Lamar Rader Electric Inc. and the family farm for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by her husband R. Lamar Rader and a brother Robert McHenry. Carolyn is survived by her children Kathleen (Kevin) Meyers, Thomas (Tonya) Rader, Daniel (Ada) Rader, Joyce (Bill) Harber; five grandsons, Eric (Maggie) Meyers, Ethan (Lexi) Rader, Christopher (Sarah) Meyers, Nicholas Harber & Matthew Harber; great-granddaughter Willow Rader; nephew Richard (Holly) McHenry; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5-7pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. The funeral to honor Carolyn will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
