Carol Ann Sutherland

Carol A. Sutherland, 87, of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born November 26, 1938, in Winchester, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Forrest & Dorothy Rogers. Carol retired from the US Government Civil Service after 36 years of dedicated service in various departments throughout her career in locations from California to Japan and other Air Force bases within the United States, achieving several accomplishments and awards. Along with her professional career, she was always devoted, very giving, loyal and supportive to her family, as a mother, grandmother, and friend. She was very well liked, known for her kindness and sense of humor. Among her many activities she loved to play board games, bingo, slot machines, puzzles and bowling. She was of Christian faith which guided her beliefs and morales. She is survived by her children, Paige & John Bagford, Karen & Mark Bishnow, Gregory Sutherland, grandchildren Brandon, Lauren & Adam, 7 great grandchildren, brother Rick & Joy Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gregory F. Sutherland, daughter, Chris Sutherland, brothers Darrell and Kenny Rogers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 12-1pm with the service to honor Carol beginning at 1:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Burial will follow next to her husband at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
