Carol Sue “Susie” Eckroth, 83, of Springfield, formerly of Lodi, OH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 26, 2025. She was born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, on June 17, 1942, to Walter & Ella (Hoagland) Adams. She was a devoted follower of Christ throughout her life. She was a dedicated and active member of First Baptist Church, Medina, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, an AWANA leader, and in other children’s ministries, and more recently attended Colonial Baptist Church with her family. She also loved singing in the choir and especially with Linda and Jay. She will be remembered for her endless generosity, faithful prayer life, and love of cooking and family get-togethers. She also enjoyed making flower arrangements for the church and family weddings. Carol is survived by her loving children, Bonnie Williams of Las Vegas, Linda (Mike) Winter of Springfield, and Jay Eckroth of Medina, as well as her 26 cherished grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John “Bud” F. Eckroth, Sr., son, John F. Eckroth, Jr., siblings, Delbert, Charles, and Gladys, and son-in-law Fred Williams. Visitation will be held at Colonial Baptist Church, 8963 Milton Carlisle Pike, New Carlisle, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 12 pm to 2 pm, with a celebration of life to follow at 2 pm.
