Cara Marie Hodge

Cara Marie Hodge, age 61, of New Carlisle, passed away after fighting a long illness on January 5, 2024. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to Floyd and Patricia (Brosey) Demmitt. She was a lifelong resident of New Carlisle and a graduate of Tecumseh High School. Cara worked for many years in the Deli at IGA and most recently at the Mel-o-dee where she made friends and acquaintances throughout the community. Cara was a beloved wife and mother who is survived by her husband Victor Hodge; son Christopher Hodge; and daughter Sarah Hodge.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her older brother Christopher Demmitt. Her older sister, Claudia Demmitt Tauzel, still remains.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on January 18, 2024, at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home in New Carlisle from 4:30-6:30 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made at trostelchapman.com
