Evangelist Bobby Gene Farmer, 75, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born September 3, 1945 in Grundy, VA, the son of Charles and Kathleen Farmer. Bobby was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He enjoyed guitar playing, gardening and was an overall craftsman. Bobby was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who never knew a stranger. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and church family. Bobby retired from Vining Broom and was a substitute support staff for Clark-Shawnee Local School District. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Genola; mom Reba Lou Farmer; son Robert (Kimberly) Farmer; daughter Donna (David) DeHart; brothers Charles (Sue) Farmer, Claude (Marge) Farmer, Pete Farmer and Ronnie "Bo" (Diane) Farmer; sisters Brenda Carter and Bonnie (Robert) Fielding; grandchildren Justin (Megan) Farmer, Lindsey (Kyle) Suttles, Kadelyn (Jeremiah) Harding and Kelsie Farmer; great-granddaughter Hannah Lynn Suttles; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Helen Farmer. Visitation will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5-7PM at Full Gospel Community Church, 2751 May St., Springfield, OH 45505. Private services will be held by the family.
