Betty A. Taulbee

Betty A. Taulbee passed peacefully on July 18, 2018, in her home community of Huber Heights, Ohio, at age 87 with her son and grandchildren at her side. Betty was born in Jackson County, Kentucky, on December 2, 1930, to Jesse and Maggie (Wathen) Gabbard. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Henry B. Taulbee, who passed in 2005, daughter Myra Ann Taulbee, parents Jesse and Maggie Gabbard, brothers Jesse ("Junior") and Ed, and sisters Gladys, Neelie, Opal, Bea, Ivas, Freda and Lucy. She is survived by her son, Bryan Taulbee of Dayton, granddaughter Charmaine Gray of San Diego, CA, grandson Nicholas Yates of Columbus, and sisters Yvonne (Jack) Gorham, Effie Wilson (Earl, dec'd), Georgia Carlton and Judy (Ted) Ebbing, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Betty was a highly-regarded professional cosmetologist and worked at salons in Dayton and Huber Heights. She was a member of the Huber Heights First Baptist Church since the early 1960's. Betty's loving care, sense of humor, devotion to faith and family, and cooking and gardening talents will be missed by all who knew her. Her family thanks the staff of Landings of Huber Heights and Hospice of Miami Valley. Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2018 from 11AM-1 PM at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.
