Betty E. Pettry

Pettry, Betty E., 89 of Springfield went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in VanLear, Ky on December 10, 1928, the daughter of Calvin and Elizabeth (Davis) Webb. Betty was a homemaker who loved to entertain especially her family. She was well known not only her biscuits but her chicken and noodles. Betty was an extremely happy person and fun loving. She was a member of the Hickory Grove United Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg where she loved to sing. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband William P. Pettry; son William Michael Pettry; and brother Dean Webb. Survivors include her sisters Joyce (Ray) Music and Sherry (Fred) Wetzel; daughter-in-law Connie (Ray) Nichols; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-6PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services will be Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:00AM in the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Hagerhill, KY with a gathering from 9:30AM until time of services. Burial to follow in Davis Cemetery.
