Bette E. McMahan

Bette E. McMahan slipped away from this life at home on August 18, 2026, at 94 (she would say 39) years young with the same graceful way she lived life with her devoted husband of 57 years by her side. Bette was the embodiment of a true Matriarch. She governed her family with strength far greater than her stature may have suggested and loved without restraint. Her love, spirit, veracity and guidance made her an unforgettable presence in this world. Her legacy of life led by example, integrity, strength and love will be cherished by her husband, Bill McMahan, her children Billy (Lori) Magulac, Jeannie Magulac, James (Gretchen) McMahan, Joseph McMahan, stepchildren Rodney McMahan and Tonya McMahan. 50 + grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents William & Thelma Hegele, three daughters, Christine, Georgeanne, Dyanne and three sisters. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 2PM – 4PM at TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME.
