Bertha Sue Elliott

Bertha Sue Elliott age 83 of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of William Thurston & Vena (Moore) Skaggs on April 5, 1942 in Ibex, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Ralph (Eliza) Skaggs, Clinton (Jean) Skaggs, Stella (Elton) Suttles, Lena (Ron) Baker & Letha Miller; mother-in-law Evelyn “Bess” Elliott; father -in- law Robert C. Elliott Sr. and brother-in-law Dwight Elliott. Bertha is survived by her loving husband Robert C. Elliott Jr.; son Robert Heath (Heather) Elliott; grandchildren: Corbin Wyatt Elliott & Meadow Brooke Elliott; siblings Lecta (Raymond) Knipp, Vicia (Clell) Simmons & Geneva (Edgar) Thornsberry; sister-in-law Annamae Elliott; several nieces, nephews, extended family & a host of friends . Bob and Bertha were married in Springfield, Ohio in 1963. They spent a wonderful 61 years together and would have celebrated their 62nd anniversary on October 19. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister & friend. Bertha enjoyed tending to her garden, canning vegetables, babysitting & cooking for her family. She will be missed by all of those who love her. Friends & Family may call on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 12PM – 2PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio 45505 where a funeral will begin at 2PM with Pastor Eddie Rice officiating. Interment to follow in Vale Cemetery.
