Albert “Bert” Hart, a beloved husband, father, papaw, great-grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Springfield, Ohio. Born on August 19, 1950, Bert was a lifelong resident of Springfield, where he cultivated deep roots and cherished connections within his community. Albert was preceded in death by his loving parents, John and Eva Hart, his infant children Deanna Louise and Nathaniel David, and his siblings George E. Hart, John H. Hart, Robert H. Hart, and Ethel Marie “Susie” Conley. Despite the heartache of these losses, Albert's spirit remained resilient and full of faith. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Dee Hart, who was the love of his life and partner in all things. Albert's legacy continues through his daughter Katina Arvin and her husband Dave, his cherished grandchildren Sara Golias and her husband Matt, and Sydnee Arvin, as well as great-granddaughter Esther. He also leaves behind numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, a circle of dear friends including Will and Ravina Harris, and an extended church family. Bert Hart dedicated many years to Jefferson Industries, retiring after a career marked by dedication and hard work. Post-retirement, he found joy in maintaining the beauty of Springfield's parks, mowing grass for Springfield Park & Rec, a testament to his enduring love for nature and his community. A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Albert was a longtime member of House of Hope Church, where he and Dee devoted their time to the ministry. Known as a prayer warrior, Bert’s faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all endeavors. He delighted in working puzzles, taking walks with his dog Brutus, and above all, spending time with his family. The celebration of Bert's life will be held at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home in Springfield, Ohio, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10:00 am, with Pastor Jackie Mounts officiating. Following the service, Albert will be laid to rest at Ferncliff Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the same location. Bert Hart touched many lives with his kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith. His memory will be cherished forever by all who knew him.
