Avarille Ray Justice

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our family’s patriarch, Avarille Ray Justice, 78, of Medway, on Saturday, October 31, 2026. He was born April 5, 1948, in Springfield, the son of late Herman and Alberta Justice. Avarille married the love of his life Norma Jean on July 3, 1976. He was the perfect husband through 50 years of marriage, holding hands and loving each other totally. His legacy was the love he instilled in his children and grandkids. Pappy was their person. His favorite family thing was dinner around the table and all the “Chaos” that followed. Avarille enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, genealogy, collecting anything that struck his fancy. Avarille is survived by his loving wife Norma Jean Justice; children Andy (Melissa) Justice, Jean Marie (Rob) Pierson, and Emily (Chad) Seymour; grandchildren Chelsea Justice, Bodie (Laila) Rogers, RoseMarie Justice Rogers, Gavin Seymour, and Zooey Seymour; brother Duane Justice; sisters Sue Shoemaker and Tonia Whitt; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Sara Beth Justice; favorite sister Arlene Crutchfield; mother-in-law Mary Jane Kunce; brothers-in-law Mel and Bobby Kunce. Visitation will be held Monday, November 9, 2026, from 1-2pm with the funeral to honor Avarille beginning at 2:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery. Avarille loved Christmas and the family asks that donations be made to the Springfield Salvation Army or to Tecumseh Local Schools ROTC Operation Christmas to make a child’s Christmas brighter.
