Arthur J. Meharg

September 18, 1938 — December 8, 2018

MEHARG, ARTHUR J., age 80, of The Masonic Home, Springfield, OH and formerly of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away after a short illness on December 8, 2018. A graduate of Lincoln High School and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He attended West Enon Church of God, Fairborn, OH. Arthur was a seven year veteran serving in the US Army as a QM Captain, twice receiving the Army Commendation Medal. He retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Shield of California serving 27 years as a Medicare Administrator. He was Past President of United Way in Chico, CA. and Past President of the Government Liaison Committee in Fairfield Glade, TN. He also was a member of Morning Star Lodge #795, Springfield, OH, the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He enjoyed many hobbies including toy trains, stamp collecting, and woodworking. Art with his bride, Dorothy of more than 50 years, enjoyed travel to every state, Western Europe, Canada and several cruises. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Melinda( Jeff) Beltramo of Canterbury, NH, son Glen (Tina) of Tacoma, WA, two brothers, Gary (Cheryl) of Northville, MI and David of Lexington, KY. There are 4 beloved grandchildren. No visitation or memorial service are planned. Burial will take place in the Saline, MI Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morning Star Lodge #795, Springfield, OH or West Enon Church of God, Fairborn, OH. The family is being served by RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
