HATFIELD, Arthur D. "Shotgun"

Age 79, of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, January 15, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, SueAnn (Austin) Hatfield, children Lisa (Dan) Blakely, Bryan Hatfield, and Sharon (Joel) Cain, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, and many good "buddies". He is preceded in death by parents Rev. Jacob and Nancy (Sharp) Hatfield and eight siblings. An avid outdoorsman, he was an excellent fisherman, a legendary deer hunter and could hold his own on the golf course. Shotgun was truly passionate about his work, inspiring multiple generations with his relentless work ethic. Above all he absolutely loved and cared for his family, enjoying their company until his last moment. A graveside service to honor Arthur will be Wednesday at 2:30 PM in New Carlisle Cemetery with the funeral procession leaving Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home at 2:15 PM.
