Alonzo Jefferson Blevins

Alonzo Jefferson "Jeff" Blevins age 79 of Springfield passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020. He was born the son of Jett & Zelda (Edwards) Blevins on December 8, 1940 in Elliott County, Kentucky. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Rob) Powell of South Vienna; brother Lester Blevins of Beaver; sister Shelli Ann Brown of Beaver; granddaughter Hilary Blevins; two great grandchildren Mia & Gabriel; special friend who was like a son Andrew Vanover. Jeff was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all of those who love him. Jeff was a member of The United States Army where he served his country proudly. Jeff loved to be outdoors and enjoyed tending to his garden where he grew many different types of vegetables and other plants. More than anything he loved spending quality time with his family. A graveside service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements in care of Richards Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.
