Alberta Leona Smith

Alberta “Leona” Smith, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026. She was born on October 13, 1934, in Springfield, Ohio.

Leona was preceded in death by her beloved parents, N. May Peck and Robert Peck Sr.; sisters: Donna Ballard and Doris Horton; brother, Robert Peck Jr.; and daughter, Cynthia Gilliland.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: son, Thomas Peck, and daughters Connie Corbett-Holmes, Bonnie Bartlett-Stultz and Karen Bartley. Alberta also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy in her life.

Leona will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to family, and the lasting impacty she had on all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on through the generations she cherished so deeply.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Richards, Raff, and Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 East High Street, Springfield. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Bud Rose, will follow at noon. Alberta will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
